Day 30 - 1 month old now!!

Today, I am 30 days-old, which means I am 1 month-old now! According to the Chinese tradition, I will have a big feast tonight.

Day 29 - Last Lactation Consultant Visit

It is a happy day today. I returned to see the lactation consultant, Victoria this afternoon and found out that I weight 8 lbs 6 oz now. Although it is a little bit over as I gained 14 oz in a week, I feel so excited that I have caught up the weight now. Mom felt so relieved and I do not need any supplement anymore, exclusively breastfeed only. Victoria, the Lactation Consultant, said I have graduated from the lactation class!! Yo-ho!!

Daddy: You are getting heavier.

Day 28 - Sleep Loss and Tummy Time

I am 4 weeks old today. Time flies.
However, I did not have a good night sleep last night. Usually, I wake up at 4 am, then 7 am. But I woke up at 3:30 am and 6 am, then I was unable to fall asleep the whole morning. Mom thought I was hungry. Every time I started crying while she put me down to sleep after feeding. Mom and dad started worrying that I might have colic or gas. They read all the books and finally mom pad me in a upright position, then I fell asleep for 2 hours afterward. Thanks mom.

I am working very hard during tummy time.

Day 27

I am getting better in breastfeeding now. Mom is able to nourish me everytime and I don't even need supplement sometimes. My sucking is getting stronger and I can latch on faster and longer. The only problem is it feels so good that I always fall asleep. Mom has to wake me up. It is my quality time with mom only and dad is so jealous. Hope mom would not give up even I start growing the teeth. I promise I will be more patience. I try not to cry when I am hungry.

By the way, people said I have less wrinkles and more cheek now. For sure, I have double chins already.

Day 26 - Changing diapers nonstop

I finally understand the scoop of changing diapers. I don't cry anymore for last few days. I straighten my legs in the air so that it is easier for the adults to clean and slip a fresh diaper underneath. I even give them a smile now. I learn that the more I cooperate with them, the faster I can go playing. From my experience, Mom is soft and gentle. Dad is a little grumpy sometimes, but I enjoy our conversation. 爺爺嫲嫲 is a good team. 婆婆 is skillful.
